Inspire Me!

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name
of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not
believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall
they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? 17 So
then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:13-15; 17
Evangelism is the calling of all of us. We
each have differing gifts and along with those gifts comes the responsibility of
multiplying those gifts by the multiplying of believers. Allow God to use you as an
instrument of His peace.
My Interpretation:
One of the themes at a church I
attend is "Evangelism is everyone's responsibility". How true it is! We are all
called to uplift Christ and spread the good news of His salvation. This scripture in
Romans shows a distinct method. It shows the link between God and the evangelism of His
lost sheep. In order to be saved, people must repent and acknowledge God. But how can this
be done if they don't know God or know about God? Somebody has to tell them. How can I
tell them if I have not been sent to tell them. Sometimes we need to realize that the
first lesson of evangelism is that we be prepared to teach. Know what you are talking
about. The Holy Spirit will give you the words as He brings things to your rememberance.
But in order for things to be brought back to your memory, you have to have studied them.
Prepare yourself for the work that God has given you. Study the scriptures to show
yourselves approved. We must study and understand and be guided by our ministers and
pastors and God so that we may rightly divide the word of truth. Secondly, wait for God to
bring about opportunities for you to minister. He will guide people to you and He will
also put you in places where your ministry may touch the lives of those around you. When
you are prepared and then sent, God will provide listening ears. When people hear, they
will choose to either believe or discard the Word. (That is not up to you..the convicting
process is God's alone!). And when people make the decision to believe, then they will cry
out to God and the blessing of salvation is offered in abundance! Let us be about our
Father's business and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations...and then shall
the end of this world of tribulation come. Even so, come Lord Jesus!
