Inspire Me!
By Pam Best
For where two or three come together in My
name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20
Share and pray with a small group. There is
an amazing and life-transforming power in this kind of group grace. If you cannot find
such a group, then find at least one other person- and start a group by opening you life
to that person.
Most of us are very private people. We live
our own lives, fight our own battles, struggle through our trials alone... We don't like
others to "be all up in our business". But the blessing that we miss in doing so
is one of comfort and transformation. There is a tremendous power in corporate prayer.
There are some obstacles that we must face together. There is a need for the pentacostal
"oneness" Sometimes burdens become to heavy for us to lift and we get too
weighted down to cry out. Isn't it good to know that someone else has your back? When
God's children cry out together in one voice, He is moved. He loves to see us love and
support and help one another. There is a need for Christian fellowship to stretch beyond
the boundaries of weekend worship services. The world is not getting any better and
prophecy reminds us of how bad it is going to get. God gave us each other for a purpose. I
need you my brothers. I need you my sisters. I need you to call out my name in prayer. We
all need that. We all need the reassurance that we are not in this thing alone. Forsake
not the gathering of yourselves together! It's time that we dwell in unity and pray
together. It is together that we can break the chains of sin and shame. It is together
that we can tear down the stronghold. It is together that we can pray salvation to a dying
world. He is in the midst...when we pray together.
