Inspire Me!

15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to
Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea,
Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16 He saith to him
again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord;
thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. John 21:15-16
Todays devotion is composed of simple
questions with not so simple answers. What is the difference in going to church and being
the church?
My Interpretation:
It is no longer time to go to church. It is
time for us to be the church. Answer these questions to know if your fellowship of
believers is on track. How many people's burdens would go un-lifted if your congregation
didn't exist? How many people would go hungry or un-clothed if you congregation just
disappeared? How would your community change if you congregation closed it's doors for
good? Scary, isn't it? What purpose does your church fellowship serve if no one is
reached? Why do you bother to meet from week to week if no one is actually following the
great commission? Jesus said to "Go ye therefore and teach all nations..." . Are
we teaching? Are we placing Jesus in the lives of the people in our community?...on our
jobs?...in our homes? Are we just going to church? Do we just have a form of godliness?
The fields are ripe..all ready for harvest..who will bear the sheeves away? Who will feed
the lambs if we don't? Who will feed the sheep if not us...the church? Who?
